Madrid

Hi everyone...we´re in Madrid now and there isn´t much of an internet connection. We have some awesome pictures of some of the things we have done lately, but I am quickly using a public computer so I cannot post them here. Today we rode the AVE (really fast train) from Barcelona to Madrid. We went to the Hard Rock Cafe today in Madrid to get some gifts for people and then we went to Plaza del sol (The center most point of Spain), and Plaza mayor. The kids have been spending their money wisely and constantly thinking of others....they have been really great.
Tomorrow we go to Segovia on an added trip, and Wednesday we will see a Flamenco show. These trips cost a little extra, but I am hoping that it is worth it. We have already opted out of one trip because we wanted more time in Barcelona.

THE CREW

HOLA! We arrived Barcelona at 7ish, then met up with the Groton group who we are traveling with. We went to dinner then we went back to our hotel, and met up in room 401. Senora came in and gave us a motivational speech about the week. Yesterday we went to Las Ramblas, the Quincy Market of Barcelona, except in between to busy roads. Kellee wrongly thought that a human statue was an actual statue and when he moved she jumped into the human monkey. The human monkey and the chef in a table attempted to kiss Lauren. We met up with Kami's friend Xavi, and his friend Christian, and they taught us naughty spanish words...shhhh don't tell Senora.
Today we went to the amusement park, one of the oldest in Europe...Tibidabo. We went on some really fun rides after walking up one huge hill. Alex Z, Josie, and Mrs. Jones went on their first roller coaster EVER! and then proceeded to go on 2 more times. Senora, Laurel, Kami and Alex B, went onto this insane ride.. (seen in pictures below), after waiting a whole hour in line. We met up with Chris Mace and he spent both yesterday and today with us, showing us around the city. Senora, practicing for her 5K, raced Kami up the stairs and proceeded to wipe out on the top step, needless to say she lost. Max made a new friend. We are all getting along great and having a great time! We leave early tomorrow morning to take the high speed train, so we will talk to you all in a day or to. -- Josie, Laurel, Lauren, Max, Alex Z, Alex B, Alex K, Stefanie, Kellee, Kami, and Kayla.

Spain Days

Kayla Martin: Today we went to a park. The architechture was amazing and the benches were actually the most comfortable i've sat on. i think i took way too many pictures >.>

I bought my mom's gift today. i hope she likes it. now i just need Dad, Ariel, and my friends and i'm set! and some stuff for me. a necklace and a hat, maybe.

for dinner we had really good Paella's.....yummmm.

We're Here!!

We're finally here. We ate some yummy dinner and now it is time to turn in. I sure hope the kids are as tired as the chaperones are. Don't worry mom and dad...there's a security guard downstairs making sure no one escapes!

London

We're safe in London waiting....waiting....waiting for our next flight. It's almost noon here and most of us are functioning on little to no sleep. Don't worry though, we have tons of cute pictures of tired kids!!

Lauren: So... it's about 7am in eastern time, and all I want to do is go to bed. We had a nice flight, Senora got yelled at by a fat old guy. Hilarious... now we're just chilling in the airport for 5 hours, wahoo! Hello parents, if you're actually reading this :] I love you! Can't wait to get to BARCELONA!

Stefanie and Alex Zotos are best friends. FO LIFE

Alex Banfield: I sat next to a grandmother on the plane, who was really annoying. She reclined her seat all the way back, then yelled at Josie to stop kicking at her seat. It was great.

Leaving...

Today we're leaving C & J Trailways at 5:00...it is kind of sad for me because this is what I am leaving behind...

I know that we are going to have a blast though!!! Woo Hooo....España, here we come!
